Meet the artist

I’m Andrea Moebes and I’m originally from Alabama. We’re a military family of five that enjoys spending time together and exploring our community.

Art and the creative process has always been an outlet for me to relax and decompress. A few years ago, my daughter and I began painting rocks for the Kindness Rocks Project. Together we painted and hid thousands of rocks in our local community. We were so into it that my husband even began painting with us. Even after moving to Washington, D.C. and back, our family still finds time to paint and hide today.

About the time my daughter and I started painting rocks, we also had newborn twins at home, which made the time we spent together even more special. It was during our painting sessions that I was introduced to the art of dot mandalas, and I couldn’t wait to paint one. It didn’t take long for me to fall in love with this art form.

The meditative process of placing each dot helps calm and center my mind. Our lives can be a little hectic with my husband being in the military and managing three school-aged kids, but finding the time to be creative has been good for my soul. Painting mandalas calms my mind and eases my anxiety. I am truly thankful for finding this art form and all of the friends from around the world it has brought to me. Your support means the world to me.

The positive feedback I receive from my posts and customers has helped me through the journey of motherhood and family. Your support and comments are important to me and my family. Supporting my art by engaging with social posts, sharing them, and supporting my small business has changed my family’s life. Thank you for being a part of my journey!

I hope my art inspires others to take time and focus on what’s important to them.
